This product can be used for windows as well. I tried mines, and it almost reached. My purpose in obtaining this was for my bathroom shower because the previous tenant took their shower stuff with them. I also did not want to drill any holes so I decided to try this out. Although the rod feels unsturdy, it actually holds weight. Probably would not place any huge towels on it. The box comes with instruction drawings. Came in with a bigger box that held the box that held the rod. The curtains has two pieces. One for the inside and the "aesthetic" piece on the outside. Those were from Costco. The bar itself has no problems holding the curtains in place. As of 8/15/23 the way I installed still works, bar has not fallen off. Exceeded my expectations as I thought I would be adjusting it nonstop.
