There are 3 ways to straighten or shape the curtain track to demands. The first one is using a hairdryer, the second one is soak it in hot water for an hour. The second way is using a hairdryer to make the track warm and easy to bend. The 3rd way is put something heavy on it for 24-48 hours before shape it. We suggest a quck search on YouTuBe or take few minutes to watch User Guide (PDF) on Product guides and documents just below, it will make the job easier. Over all, this job need patience. What’s in the package? Curtain Track with all accessories include, rollers, curtain track ceiling mount brackets/wall mount brackets, screws, anchors, end stops, hooks. Is it tricky to install? Yes, it's a little tricky to work with! So please be patient! Can cut or combine the track? Yes. Cut is easy, you can just do it. Combine work some of our customers had make it, you need to use a good saw to make the connection part 100% corresponded. We had 1-2-3-5-10 meters track available, so we would suggest you buy longer curtain track than combine it. Dimensions? Track dimension: width 11mm, height 24mm. Ceiling brackets: width 20mm, length 40mm, height 7mm.Rollers: width 18mm, height 30mm. From bottom of the roller ring to the top of the rail track is 43mm/1.69inch, From bottom of the roller ring to the bottom of the rail track is 22mm/0.86inch What's the weight limit? 6lbs per meter. Can use adhesive tape instead? For Lightweight sheer curtains it may work. But we can not imaging one day the adhesive will not work, what would happen. So we do not suggest using the adhesive tape instead of the brackets. Is this track worth? Not really useable on a drop ceiling because you have to install the brackets into something solid. If you insist, you may need other kinds of anchor sets. Anyway, we do not suggest in this way. Can install on a boat or RV? Definitely Yes. Some of our customers had do so, great work. Gap between curtain & ceiling? The track is flush with the ceiling and the curtain hangs off the track. There is a small gap between the curtain and the rolling carriers Suggest brackets distance? We suggest 1 meter using 3 brackets, 12-15 inches set one each. For The corners should place closer than the straight part. Is it a 2 people work? Yes , we suggest 2 people work together to install the curtain track. Some of work may needs help to make it easier. If you decide to work alone, do remember to keep safe and keep patient. Is is curved when receving? Yes, in order to make it easier packed, we rolled to track to curved ones, it's ok. I was skeptical at first when I ordered this product, thinking it would be too light-duty for what I wanted to do. I wanted to hang welding curtains in my work shop. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this product did the job very well. There are a couple pointers I want to provide:1 - Install this product correctly. I used a 7/32" bit to drill the holes for the plastic drywall anchors. This was the right size so the anchors could be lightly tapped into the drywall. DO NOT just drill a small pilot hole and pound the anchors into the ceiling. You will bust out the back of the drywall and your installation will be weak.2 - Have patience when straightening the track. The track must be shipped as a coiled unit, and it has at thin metal bar embedded inside it. So you are not only straightening the plastic; you are also straightening the metal. It was 100F degrees when I straightened the track, so I think the heat helped me. Also I pulled the track around a 5-gallon bucket. That was a nice radius to help get it straight. Took me about 1-hour total to straighten 10 meters of track.Conclusion -- Great product for the money. I did not want to spend hundreds $ on commercial ceiling track. The welding curtains weigh 18 pounds total. When the curtains are stowed on one end of the track, all 18 pounds are hanging on two ceiling support brackets--(they handle it no problem).
