Nice rod, but the description is somewhat deceptive. It implies that it will work for windows of any length between 23” and 81”. Study the pictures and you will see otherwise. Varying length rod sections are screwed together and will form only the very few specific lengths illustrated. So unless you’re lucky enough that one of those specific lengths works for you, or you’re happy with the rod sticking out past your curtains and looking ridiculous, you will need a hacksaw. As the one I bought was to be used for adding sheers behind existing curtains hanging on a 2 1/2” flat rod, I knew I would have to cut it to length to fit between the existing brackets. Very quick and simple to do with a hacksaw. The rod sections screw together nicely. Drapery slides across the rod joints with ease. Also, telescoping rods want to shrink up into themselves when trying to slide on drapery. This solid rod makes it easy. I find the assembled rod to be quite sturdy. I have also installed two of the shorter ones. Same scenario. Cut to fit. Overall, I am very satisfied with the rods and for me, they are a nice product at a good price.
